In 2010 Accountability Round Table published a pamphlet on “Corruption” that remains as relevant today as it was when published.
This pamphlet was authored by Tim Smith and published in partnership with The Australian Collaboration.
The Hon. Tim Smith is a retired Supreme Court judge. He was appointed a Queen’s Counsel in 1985. Prior to his appointment to the Supreme Court in 1990, he was a Commissioner of the Australian Law Reform Commission from 1980 to 1987 and a County Court judge from 1988 to 1990. He has written on issues relating to court governance and the structure of the judicial branch of government. Post retirement he held the position of Adjunct Professor in the Department of Management, Faculty of Business and Economics, at Monash University. He chaired the Accountability Round Table from 2006 to 2018, and continued to write extensively on issues of corruption and accountability . Tim has an abiding concern to promote open and accountable government in Australia.
